Frequently Asked Questions

Who will win the Golden Boot?
On current numbers, Erling Haaland (Manchester City), projected to finish on about 27 goals, ahead of Isak on about 17.
How are the projected goals worked out?
Goals so far, plus the rest of the season at the player's own rate: 70% from his expected goals per 90 minutes and 30% from his real goals per 90, pulled toward the typical scorer's rate while he has played few minutes, multiplied by the share of his team's minutes he plays and the matches his club has left. Injuries, transfers and penalties changing hands are not predicted.

Forecasts come from the FPL Dave model: each team's expected goals from its underlying numbers this season (pulled toward the league average while the sample is small), blended with the bookmakers' expected goals when they have priced the match. They are estimates for information and entertainment, not betting advice. Results, fixtures, player data and injury flags are from the official Fantasy Premier League game.
