What does the vice captain do in FPL?
Nothing, unless your captain plays no minutes in the gameweek. Then the vice-captain's points are doubled instead. If both play no minutes, nobody's points are doubled.
Does the vice captain get points if the captain plays one minute?
No. A captain who comes on for even a minute keeps the armband, and his points are doubled however few he scores. The vice only takes over when the captain plays zero minutes.
What happens to Triple Captain if my captain doesn't play?
The chip passes to the vice-captain, whose points are tripled instead.
Who should be my vice captain?
A player you would be happy to captain who plays in a different match from your captain, ideally later, so that if the captain is ruled out the vice is still to play.
