Frequently Asked Questions
How many points is a goal worth in FPL 2026/27?
10 for a goalkeeper, 6 for a defender, 5 for a midfielder and 4 for a forward. An assist is worth 3 for everyone.
How do clean sheet points work in FPL?
A clean sheet is worth 4 for a goalkeeper or defender and 1 for a midfielder, but only for a player who was on the pitch for at least 60 minutes. Goalkeepers and defenders lose 1 for every two goals conceded.
What are defensive contribution points?
2 points for reaching the game's defensive contribution threshold in a match: clearances, blocks, interceptions and tackles for defenders, and those plus ball recoveries for midfielders and forwards. Goalkeepers do not earn them. Check the threshold in the official game's rules, which can change between seasons.
How do bonus points work?
The three best performers in each match by the Bonus Points System (BPS) get 3, 2 and 1 bonus points. Ties share the higher number.
What are the FPL squad rules?
A squad of 15 players (2 goalkeepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders, 3 forwards) costing at most £100.0m, with no more than 3 from one club. 11 start each gameweek; the captain scores double. Unused free transfers roll over, up to 5 banked.
